Exodus 1/ Jeremiah 4           3 paragraphs 7 vs. 10

Psalm 51 / Revelation 13:4

Disaster is coming, let us circumcise our hearts and be strong in doing good.

He who deeply repents and consecrates himself, will overcome the power of the enemy and lead people to return to the right.

Key Verses     Exodus 1:12 / Jeremiah 4:3

Exodus 1 / Jeremiah 4                   Oppress vs. Purify

1.   Oppress and fruitful

The enemy oppressed God's people shrewdly.  They used forced labor to destroy male children.  Those who feared God were brave to disobey the king's order.  Therefore, God treated them kindly and they became fruitful in trouble.

2.   Remove wickedness and purify oneself

The enemy is like the wind, and disasters will surely come.  Put away your idols and circumcise your heart.  Do not deceive yourselves, but be sure to purify yourselves.  Trust in God and do good bravely in times of distress.

Psalm 51 / Revelation 13:4        Pray for purification, and Overcome the beast

The whole world is worshipping the beast.  Who can overcome the power of sin?  Let us confess our sins, and pray for purification through faith.  God can make us whiter than snow, so that we can proclaim His ways and accomplish His work.
