When we are in affliction, we should pray and remember God's power and endure patiently in keeping the way.

Exodus 27 / Jeremiah 30            Redemption vs. Punishment

1.   Judgment and redemption

The articles of the alter are made of bronze.  Bronze represents judgment, and silver the redemption.  Those who are judged and redeemed by God will pray watchfully and shine day and night.

2.   Punish and return

Due to their great guilt and many sins, God’s children will be punished and suffer.  But fear not, God will save them. Those who return from captivation will be established and rejoice.

I pray unceasingly when I am in distress.  But my soul grow faint and refuse to be comforted.  I will recall the miracles of long ago.  Those who endure will see God's great power.
