Exodus 28 / Jeremiah 31            Priest, and The remnant

1.   Honorable priest

The priest is to wear the honorable sacred garments.  He puts on the ephod and shoulders the caring of God's people.  He is to wear the breastpiece, having the mind as the Lord's.  He is “Holy to God” and bears spiritual fruits.

2.   The righteous remnant

After they have been refined, they cry and pray to God to save the remnant.  Therefore, the remnant are turned into a righteous dwelling, the law is written on their hearts.  They are set up and blessed.

Psalm 78 / Revelation 14:13        Betray vs. Keep the word

God’s children are not loyal to God nor do they keep the covenant.  Though they have been beaten often, they are rebellious and shrink back.  Therefore, they are deserted by God.  Though they live, they are as the dead.  Blessed are those who die in the Lord.
