 Key Verses     Exodus 32:31-32 / Jeremiah 35:14

Exodus 32 / Jeremiah 35             Forsake the way vs. Keep the way

1.   Cast the calf

God’s children turn away from the way to cast the calf.  They use man’s craft and flesh to do God's holy work.  Thus, God is provoked to anger.  The faithful servant intercedes for them.  But he attacks vigorously against sins without sympathy.

2.   Hold on the Lord's way

With another resolution, they hold on to the Lord's way.  The prophet tests them to drink in the temple, they are careful to obey the command without consideration of man.  They will never drink wine.  Thus, they will always serve before the Lord.

Psalm 82 / Revelation 14:17         Judgment, and A sharp sickle

The world defends the unjust.  We should maintain the rights of the poor.  God will rise up and judge the w.  He has a sharp sickle to punish the wicked.
